Each website is unique
Website is a generic term, and two websites can be very different in appearance, functionality and objectives. We can group (without considering cases of specific customisation) websites into three macro categories:
1. Corporate website
Companies and professionals often display on their website the information they generally use to present themselves to their customers. As in the case of corporate identity, these concepts are aimed at conveying to users certain elements that can characterise the company, as well as bringing out a precise identity, i.e. the conception to which the perception of the value of the company and its products and positioning on the reference market is linked.
2. E-Commerce
These are dynamic sites dedicated to the sale of products online. In the classification of websites, however, e-commerce can be present in a dual form. Not every company that decides to go down the e-commerce route has an extensive product catalogue. It often happens that some companies have a very limited catalogue, niche products or specific product lines (e.g. a wine company), while in other cases, they can boast a huge catalogue (e.g. a clothing shop, an electronics shop).
3. Editorial Websites (Newspapers, News, Blogs)
A website designed to disseminate information by creating an interaction with users who can leave reports and comments on posted articles.
The main feature of an Editorial Site is to organise the contents according to a different logic from that of a classic website where the pages and sub-pages are all linked to a general menu thanks to a tree hierarchy. In editorial sites, articles are hierarchically cascaded and catalogued chronologically. In addition, articles can be organised into categories and grouped according to different logics using tags.
4. Landing Page
The landing page is a page (a mini website) oriented to a web strategy and is a tool of direct response marketing.
It is a tool that has as its objective a direct and measurable return in sales, leads, orders and according to the occasions requested for information.
Among the Online tools, we can say that the landing page is the practical tool in which we can “objectively” measure one or more of our proposals on the market.
Using the “hard sell” and storytelling techniques we will have an approach to communication focused on immediacy, aiming at the heart of the customers with simple messages and without mincing words.
What are the steps for a new website?
The stages that go through the design of a new website are more or less always the same, and each of them is essential for the packaged product to be perfect and functional.

Collection of existing material (text/photos)

Production of textual and multimedia content
